Is it worth it to go for the real estate license now? I know many homes are not selling. I don’t have any experience in this area, and would be looking to get my real estate license as a 2nd part time position.
keep in mind that of all PT jobs that exist, being a RE licensee is
ALMOST like being a PT doctor–the liability is quite high. A licensee
helps someone find their home……or ideal investment or
helps someone UNDERWATER, get rid of their home.

2010 Sep 02 1If taking the classes at night and sitting for the exam don’t interfere with your day job, there is no harm in getting your license. With the understanding that home sales is not where the money is now, you can use your license by being a leasing agent and helping people find apartments.
Another suggestion would be to focus on the Gold Coast condominiums in the Hoboken area of New Jersey. The prices have come way down and there will always be investors. Find a niche there, such as marketing the properties to wealthy buyers in Ireland, many of whom have already purchased units.
Good luck.

2010 Sep 02 2Real estate agents are struggling and finding new jobs. If you would like a 2nd part time position why not become a real estate investor. It only cost me $697 one-time. I was a struggling single mom with 2 kids. I joined this investor group which taught me everything I know and provide me weekly training and lots of free courses worth thousand of dollars. In the last year I have went from broke to buying a Jaguar(dream car) a $550k house, top of the line furniture(dinning room set $20k)($5k bedroom set) rental properties, taking expensive trips.
